FastField offers multiple platforms to optimize your workflow from your mobile device to your desktop. Two distinct platforms available on a web browser are the web app and the Portal.
The web app is a desktop version of the FastField mobile app -- it's a way to access, fill out, and submit forms via a web browser. The Portal is your home for all administration work and management within your FastField account. Continue reading for a more detailed overview of these two platforms.

Web App Overview
The FastField web app is a way for users to complete and submit forms via a web browser. It has the same functionality as our mobile apps, except for offline data collection (an internet connection is required to use the web app).
Key features of the web app:
- Forms Folder: This folder contains all forms you have access to through a library. You can access your available forms here and start them at any time and as many times as you'd like.
- Inbox Folder: This folder contains all tasks that have been specially assigned to you or your user group by an Admin or Dispatcher.
-
In Progress Folder: This folder contains forms that you have started but have not yet submitted. You can access in-progress forms here to complete at a later time.
In-progress forms can only be accessed using the same app you started the form on, and only by you.
-
Submitted Folder: This folder contains all forms that you have successfully submitted from that device.
Your web app menu may be different. You can customize your app menu settings through the Company Settings section in the Portal.
Portal Overview
The FastField Portal serves as the central hub for account administration and management. It's designed for users who need to oversee accounts, users, form libraries, and much more! If you're logged into the Portal but have limited access to the left navigation menu, it's possible you haven't been granted the necessary permissions. In so, contact an admin on your account to assign you the appropriate user role.
Here are some key features of the Portal:
- User Management: Administrators can manage users, permissions, and access controls. You can also add and remove users, assign roles, and control user access to specific forms and features.
- Form Library: Create, organize, and manage your form library. You can also create forms, categorize forms, and control form versioning.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: The Portal offers robust data analysis and reporting tools. You can view, filter, and export form submissions, create custom reports, and gain insights from your collected data.
- Billing and Subscription: Manage your subscription plans, billing information, and payment settings. The Portal also provides access to invoices and billing history.
