Preview and Test Your Form

You can preview your form as you build it and test it on a real device before you publish. This article covers the preview modes and form validation.

Where to preview

Previews appear in the right panel, on the Preview tab. The preview updates as you build. You can choose from three modes:

  • Web app
  • Mobile app
  • Your own device, through a QR code

Preview in the web app

  1. In the right panel, select the Preview tab.
  2. Choose a mode.

 

Preview on your device

  1. In the right panel, select the Preview tab.
  2. Select the QR code button.
  3. Scan the code with your mobile device (Note: Make sure you have the FastField mobile app installed).
  4. Test your form in the app.

Note: A device preview gives you the most accurate test. Some field types, such as Location and NFC Reader, need a real device.

 

Validate your form

  1. In the bottom toolbar, select Actions.
  2. Select Validate Form.
  3. Review the results for passed checks, warnings, and errors.
  4. Select a result to jump to the field it refers to.
  5. Fix the issue, then run the validation again.
