With FastField's Dynamic Report Builder, you can now create customized PDF reports directly within the platform, eliminating the need for external tools. These reports dynamically adjust based on submitted data, offering responsive sizing, multiple-column layouts, and extensive customization options.
How to Create a Dynamic Report Builder
- In the Portal, go to Forms > Custom Reports.
- On the Custom Reports page, select the green + New Report Button on the top right (or Actions > Edit to open an existing report).
- Select the Form that you would like to use for the report and give it a name.
- Select Dynamic Report as your Report Type.
- Select how you would like to build your report: Auto generate or Start from scratch.

- Auto generate: This option automatically formats your report with fields and headings from your form. You can then customize as needed, selecting a layout of one, two, or three columns.
- Start from scratch: This options allows you to being with a blank template where you can drag and drop fields to create a customized layout.

Your Dynamic report builder template will only be applied for the form you have selected. You will not be able to apply the dynamic report builder template to multiple forms. You will need to create a separate dynamic report template for individual forms.
Tips
- Deleted a field by mistake? You can use Command + Z to undo the action!
- You can further customize your dynamic report template by using the field and cell formatting settings.
- You can hide empty tables and/or empty rows within your template through the Table Formatting settings.
