Overview
When creating your Custom PDF Report in the Report Builder, there may be times when you want to adjust the formatting of your data to fit your report. FastField has built-in styling and formatting tools in the report builder to map your data fields to fit easily into areas in your Custom PDF Report.
How to Format Field Cells
- Add a field to your report in the Report Builder.
- Click on the field to access its formatting and stylization options. The options menu will appear on the left-hand side of the Report Builder.
- From here, you can adjust the alignment, instance number, output type, and more.
Cell Formatting
You can adjust the cell style parameters such as the padding, border thickness, color, and fill. Create the style you prefer for your document and save it into a preset.
Example:
Below we have created a custom cell style. The left and bottom of the cell bounding box will have solid lines at 3px width, a border color of black, and a fill color of white. The padding controls how the field data is set inside the bounding box.
Field Formatting
Additionally, you can format how the data is displayed using field formatting tools. Choose fonts, bold and italic text, color, and alignment options.
