Overview
Configuring a form as a web form allows users to fill it out using a web browser. Web forms offer a convenient way to collect data from individuals who may not be registered as users within the FastField system or cannot access the mobile app.
Forms can be configured into web forms after they have been built and published live.
Note: This feature is part of the External Forms optional add-on. You will need to enable this feature at an additional cost in the billing section of your account (Account > Company Billing > Add-ons).
How to Set Up a Web Form
To embed your form on the web:
- Open/edit your form in the Form Builder
- Select the Advanced Options > Set Up Web Form.
- Check the Allow Public Submissions box to proceed.
-
- This indicates that you allow non-authenticated users to complete the form.
- This is common for scenarios such as public surveys or feedback forms where respondents may not have a user account.
Under Allowed Websites, enter the list of websites you would like to allow this form to be embedded in.
-
- You must add domains to this list in order to embed the form. If you do not add websites to the whitelist, the embed code will be blocked.
Your form's embed code can now be copied and pasted as an iframe into your specified websites.
-
- Make sure to pay attention to the width and height parameters when exporting your code.
