This article explains how to create a Quickbase integration in FastField with a user token.
This method is an alternative to fully linking your Quickbase and FastField accounts for single sign-on (SSO) from the Quickbase Admin Console. It uses a Quickbase user token to connect FastField to your Quickbase realm.
We recommend this set up if you want to connect with Quickbase, without using Quickbase single sign-on (SSO).
After you set up a Quickbase integration, you can do things like:
- Import a Quickbase app's schema to a FastField form
- Send FastField responses to Quickbase
- Create a Data Table connected to a Quickbase table
Set up a new integration
- In FastField, expand the Workflow menu, and then select Integrations.
- Select the New Integration button.
- In the Choose an integration field, select Send to Quickbase.
- Enter a name, realm URL and user token, and then select Add.
This saves the integration and makes it available to use when setting up workflows, data tables, and more.
Give permissions to other FastField admins and builders
By default, a new Quickbase integration is only accessible by the admin or builder who created it. The person who creates the integration can share it with other FastField admins and builders. People with access to the integration can connect forms, data tables, and workflow actions to Quickbase.
To give permission to specific admins and builders in your FastField account:
- In FastField, expand the Workflow menu, and then select Integrations.
- Edit an existing Quickbase integration (Actions > Edit) or create a new integration (+ New Integration).
- In the Permissions section, select Manage permissions.
- Select Add user to add a user to your list of permitted users.
You can remove or add a user to this list at any time. - Save your changes.
