Overview
You have the ability to reassign a task that you have already dispatched. This will simply transfer the task form from the original recipient to another user or user group of your choice. You can also choose to designate it as unassigned, which simply saves it to your Tasks page until you're ready to send it.
Whether you've mistakenly assigned a task to the wrong person or just need to transfer the responsibility to someone else, you can reassign the task in a few easy steps in the Portal.
How to Reassign a Task
- Go to Form Sharing > Dispatch/Tasks in the Portal.
- Find the task you want to reassign.
- You can do this using the search bar, sorting through the table, or adding filters.
- Select Actions > Reassign for the task that you want to reassign.
- Under Reassign To, use the drop-down menu to select the endpoint for the reassignment: User, User Group, or Unassigned.
- Unassigned will simply save it to your Tasks page until you're ready to send it.
- Follow the prompts to select the recipient and provide a name and message for the task.
- Use the toggles at the bottom to notify the new and/or current recipients of the reassignment.
